E. M. Nancy is an establishment of teaching and research in engineering with 1000 students, 60 permanent professors, 400 people in research and R&D including a hundred doctorants.
The School's scientific and technological curriculum has gradually been diversified in order to meet the needs and expectations of an ever-changing economic world.
Our courses lead to a joint Master's degree comprising two Majors which aim at meeting two requirements:
- the Major in executive engineering focuses on managerial skills.
- the second Major develops advanced skills in one of the following technical fields: materials and mechanics, energetics, environment, geological and civil engineering, computer science and applied mathematics, industrial engineering.
Quality research is conducted in the above-mentioned areas by leading laboratories attached to the universities of Nancy.
With more than 20% of its graduates coming from foreign countries and all its students spending at least 4 months abroad, the Ecole des Mines in Nancy is a dynamic member of the Graduate School set up by the “Groupe des Ecoles des Mines”.
The School is a component of Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine, a university run by the French Ministry of Education.
I n 1999, with the ICN Ecole de Management (School of Management) and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Nancy (the Nancy Fine Arts School), the Ecole des Mines created the concept of Artem-Nancy , designed to give the students from the 3 schools a common core syllabus enabling them to build bridges with the others and to add to the humane' culture already present in the Ecole des Mines de Nancy training.
Boasting more than 48,000 students, the historic city of Nancy is one of the biggest university centres in France . With almost 5,000 student engineers and 3,000 researchers operating in leading scientific areas, Nancy offers attractive opportunities in the cultural and academic fields.
